Hi guys, wishing all my readers a happy new year, and hope that 2011 is a good year for all!
The new year is always a time for added focus or newly rekindled focus on something.
Obviously, the added focus for me is the training, making sure that I hit the gym with the high intensity every single session. Also going to be bringing my diet into play a lot more now. Still keeping the calories high, but now really concentrating on eating clean and getting the main nutrients from a staple diet which I can easily monitor and therefore change according to how my body is responding. Although I am just entering the bodybuilding leagues, I want to train and eat like a pro....that should give me better results then doing it halfheartedly right? But I gotta say that the prospect of all the meal prep and careful monitoring is quite a high mountain. As a hard gainer, I have been used to being able to eat what I want, but that amount of body fat, although lean by maybe the average comparison, is no-where near what I need it to be. So I'll be keeping a keen eye on my diet from now on and will be utilising the cardio a lot more, even though it wont be as frequent a pre-contest.....
